Every Sunday, Taplin Park Drummoyne at 8am starting on February 8.
Race Day:
The program concludes with our race day event on Sunday March 29
What is it?
Every runner is only as strong as their base. Before we chase your next 5km PB, 10km PB or beyond, let’s focus on strengthen your running base. You will have two goals during this run club.
Main Goal: Total Distance Target
Together we will set you a personal goal of how many total kilometres you will cover throughout the program. Your objective is to bank more kilometres than what you have previously achieved at any of our run clubs. I commonly say that the race day result is a bonus. The real growth comes from the journey. This time around, the journey is the goal. In many ways the stakes are higher. Every week, every effort, and every run truly counts. Achieving your distance target will be a genuine reflection of the work you put in.
Side Goal: 1km PB
The race day event on this program is a 1km time trial. I mean we still need a reason to gather for food at the end of the program right? Jokes aside a faster runner is a stronger runner so this is very much a huge part of building a stronger running base.
